1) BASICS
But of course.
You've read it probably a millionth time in magazines but i can't agree more that this is what works around your existing pieces in your wardrobe!

Way back when i was a teenager, i always stock up on THE WHITE TANK TOP. I find myself getting them at Bugis street to TOPSHOP. 

I am also super picky on this frivolous task..which is..
-length must NOT be too short, slightly long.
- straps must not be too thin or thick.
- finding one that is not a racer back but of a regular back (i found that this is most versatile)
- not too sheer, or too thick.
- round neck is the best. No V-neck or square...(but i do have some for fun variations)

And till date, i realise that it does wear out quickly since it is of a high maintenance white (turns yellow), or that it stretches out weird after a few good wear. 
I have also spent on high-end ones just to find THE perfect tank, sadly...there is actually none!
So in short, go for those cheap ones you can find that fits right on you. Truth is, you may just have to "stock up" or replenish the old ones in time. 

But for tees & sleeved tops, i do find that pricier ones gets it right.
I recommend T by Alexander Wang for tees if you might be interested. Or good ole Forever21!

Style Stock - White & Blacks; particularly in Tanks, Tees, 3/4 sleeves.
Style Hunt - Forever21, Massimo Dutti, Bugis Street, James Perse, Alexander Wang.

2) Jeans
Everyone is unique by body types, so i won't advice for a pair of skinnies upon you.
Generally, you should have a light & dark wash in your wardrobe, and a fit/cut that looks best on you. 
You might want to consider trying a Boot-Cut as it looks good on most body types.
Make sure you do the booty check when you try them on, and the crotch area for signs that it might be too tight.
In summary, these are the styles i find flattering for body types:
Full Figure : Boot cut, Regular, Straight leg.
Petite: Flare, Boot Cut, Skinnies

Style Stock - Light & Dark Wash
Style Hunt - Abercrombie & Fitch, J Brand, 7 for all mankind, Rich & Skinny, Forever21, Levis (USA).

3) Shorts
I am sure everyone lives by these here in Singapore! (I'm guilty of this too...)
Besides the usual plain ones, how about mixing it up with studs, patterns, wash & style?
Recently, i have been finding myself loving these Brandy Melville ones that i got them in every colour!
I also find that high-waisted ones adds an edge to an ensemble somehow. Printed ones makes me look like i put an effort into my outfit too! Try 'em!

Style Stock - Frayed Shorts, Studded Shorts, High-Waisted & Patterned Shorts.
Style Hunt - Ezrabelle, Forever21, Bugis Street, Brandy Melville, NastyGal, Runawaydreamz.


4) Formal Dress
I think labelling it LBD, the "Little Black Dress", is an overstatement.
Finding one in a color that looks like a million bucks on you should be THE dress.
But of course, a versatile and timeless color would gravitate towards black. 
But there aint no harm in getting one in a color and style that looks perfect on you! As with that, i am sure you will get much good use out of!

Style Stock - Try sleeves, patterns or colors for variation.
Style Hunt - Forever21, BEBE, BCBG MAX AZRIA, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, H&M.

5) The Perfect Work Bag 
I found this black one from H&M! I think i remember them to be $79.90!
Find one that is made well and it will be sure to make your money's worth.
Black would also be an ideal choice for easy pairing.
Oh, and i must say our WORK BAGS are amazing as well! I carried a laptop, documents and all in the rain and it held up :)
Would only offer the best to you guys!

Style Stock - Black leather work tote with an additional long strap would be ideal for easy carrying.
Style Hunt - H&M, Ezrabelle, Topshop.


6) Heels
Get them in black & nude. It's ALL you need actually.
I do recommend that this might be an investment piece as a good pair lasts (you can resole 'em), fits and look right!
I adore the "Bianca" from Christian Louboutin in patent. 
However if you are tight on a budget, find one with at least 4 inches high, closed toe, and a hidden platform for comfort.
Getting those gel inserts helped too!

Style Stock - Black & Nude heels.
Style Hunt - Christian Louboutin, MiuMiu, Forever21, ALDO, Bugis Street, Far East Plaza (HeatWave).


7) Flats
A black or nude pair.
Great for looking presentable anytime you feel that you'd like to rest your soles.
Tory Burch does amazing ones that looks good for work & casuals!

Style Hunt - Tory Burch, ZARA, TOMS, Primark (London), Far East Plaza.

8) Sandals
Another must have for us right?
I know, i live in mine too most days (along with my shorts) and wear them anytime over heels.
Besides the rubbered thong style, one with a strappy heel looks more presentable & dressier.
Or if you insist on a slip on thong style, try getting one in a leathered texture.
Again, Tory Burch makes good ones! I love the one called "Thora".

Style Stock - Textured or strappy sandals.
Style Hunt - Cottonon (flipflops only $5!), Abercrombie & Fitch, ZARA, Tory Burch, Sam Edelman.

9) Diamante Stud Earrings
Classic timeless jewellery to have! (& it does not even need to be the real thing~)
Size matters too by the way. A big one looks good for formal occasions, and a daintier one is perfect for an everyday.

Style Stock - Round is a classic. Try a princess (square) cut for variation.
Style Hunt - CHOMEL, Forever21, H&M. 

10) Black Mid-Length Skirt
Be it a full, A-line or bandage style.
However i find that a full or A-lined one hitting just right at the knees are the perfect length and style for work and casual.
You can even play it up with textures by getting a leathered skater skirt, laced ones, or pairing it with a tee!

I have found myself to be a convert to organic skincare, and to be exact THE ORGANIC PHARMACY products, cause boy...this stuff really works.

Being a beauty junkie, i have tried many brands from drugstore to high end.
Of course i have also dabbled into organic ones, but none giving me the wow factor that spurs for a repurchase.

Got to know THE ORGANIC PHARMACY by chance and picked them up when i was in London, UK.
My skin never felt happier, radiant and calm.
And by saying that, i meant e v e r y day.

So these are the 3 items that i've picked up..

⤷ Carrot Butter Cleanser

⤷ Antioxidant Face Gel

⤷ Herbal Toner

You see, i have alot of skincare & the thing with me is that i do not stick to a set and it is used by mood.
And that is dependable on what i feel my skin needs on that day, be it to replenish moisture..masking it, or anti blemish etc.
I have actually religiously used my Organic Pharmacy products and completely depleted them after 3 months or so. I didn't even stray to my other products!
Besides the visible radiant, clearer and controlled skin i have nurtured, the main factor which leads me faithful to them is their amazing therapeutic scent, thanks to its natural ingredients.
It is like spa facial heaven at each application with good massaging techniques, no exaggeration.
It relaxes the mind, awaken my senses and gave me tranquility.

Of course, i was bummed when my beloved skincare was out till the last drop i can savour.
You can find them at THE ORGANIC PHARMACY online, but you do face hefty shipping charges as they ship from UK, where it's from.

After some research, i am glad that i found a good alternative at Bud Cosmetics.
Bud Cosmetics carry only organic products, primarily skincare from good brands.
To order THE ORGANIC PHARMACY products, you have to email or call them.
So i did, and Eric (i think he is the boss...) took my naggy order.
Besides filling in my order with what i have depleted, i would like to try out more products from THE ORGANIC PHARMACY.
Throughout the whole phone conversation, Eric offered good advice, and was knowledgeable and so patient.
You can sense that he is genuinely sincere in hearing your needs to provide you with the best option, and not just out to make more sales from you.
If you are wondering if i have received any compensation for this review...
the answer is NO.

In fact, THE reason why this review was initiated was because of the immaculate & excellent service received from Bud Cosmetics.
Also, i would like to share the love & knowledge to consider going organic with your skincare regime!
After knowing all the risks of toxin and carcinogenic (cancer causing) properties in what you may have slathered on your face and body, it is alarming that you might find yourself in my shoes in no time.
Besides, THE ORGANIC PHARMACY needs no introduction as they have won many awards just on these 3 items i have purchased (and more) globally!
There are plenty of good reviews for their brand & products if you simply just google them.
I won't bore you down further with the key ingredients of each product and all as it is well informed at the website.

However on the last note,
if you do wish to consider trying the Carrot Butter Cleanser, i highly recommend that you use it with their muslin cloth!
That's because....

Hari Hara Haji to all of our muslims friends!

Here's a quick remedy tip and DIY mask we'd love to share.
Everyone may face problems with acne breakouts and scarring at some point of time, and this is something quick and easy to follow.
Plus, it smells SO good! A yummy FALL-ish scent with all the spices combined!
Makes a happy soul whilst doing the mask too!

This mask consist of 3 items that are easily available in your home's spice rack or grocery stores!
You will need:

1/4 teaspoon Honey
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

Make sure you incorporate all the ingredients by mixing well.
And this is what you'll get

A chocolatey looking thick paste.

1. Apply (not scrub) this paste directly on a clean face on spots and areas you would want to treat for 30 minutes.
   
2. Wash off with warm water, cleanse once again with your cleanser and moisturize as usual.
   
3. Use this mask consecutively on affected areas for 3 days and rest your skin on alternate days using it 2-3 times a week thereafter. You may stop when you're happy with the results.
   

Note: You may apply this on the whole face with the same proportions OR do 1 teaspoon of each ingredients OR more honey if you want to apply it on the whole face.
More honey would make this mask more calming for the skin, but it also makes a more runny mask so do it with a top you are ok to get dirty with!
Just adjust the measurements according to how you like the consistency of your mask.

Also, the brand of nutmeg and cinnamon in good supermarkets are relatively similar in quality.
We do suggest that you have quality honey though for this mask.
We recommend Manuka Honey even for added benefits and healing properties. If you don't have that, it is perfectly fine to use regular honey as it will still work its magic on red angry zits or scars.

Benefits of Honey
Antibacterial properties that helps heal wounds. When applied to acne, it kills the infection by calming it and prevents it from swelling. Attracts and retain moisture into skin, used widely in beauty treatments for as long as honey existed!


Benefits of Nutmeg
Has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. Traditionally used for treating patients with ezcema or skin conditions. Reduces infection and acne flare ups resulting in flattened and smoother acne scars.

Benefits of Cinnamon
Anti inflammatory, helps calm down your skin. Antifungal and astringent properties as well.


Optional: You may add some drops of lemon juice in and transform this mask to a scrub. Lemon is great for lightening those acne scars, but do use with caution as it may be overpowering for sensitive skin or if you feel stinging and photosensitivity, wash it off immediately. Also, DO NOT scrub too hard, use a light hand whilst working with this scrub.


Verdict?
Personally i have sensitive skin too, and this mask does not give me any problems. Used the spot treatment instead of the whole face.
New and older acne appear less red and angry.
Acne scars also appears to be lighter in appearance with prolonged use. 
You have to be patient to see results. 
Do test this mask on a patch of skin (on your inner wrist) if you feel that you have sensitive skin. If you experience stinging sensation or if you feel uncomfortable whilst putting on the mask, wash off immediately.
Also, nutmeg is a particular strong astringent. Use with caution especially on sensitive skin. You may leave it for 15 minutes only if you have sensitive skin.
This cheap and easy mask is worth a try, loving the scent!
